Where ever you get to work, aside from honing your current skillset, learn something new. You never know when a new skill can come in handy especially when in a "start-up" business 

Experience: This way of learning/working helped me initially get basic web design skills and eventually, WordPress and basic web development skills. With this, I was able to redesign myself from being in sales into being a web-savvy person. In a short period of time, I was able to offer web design services. And develop a respectable list of projects.
